A day in the life of an intern…

This summer StockdaleMartin have been kind enough to let me complete a 3 month placement with them. As with many of us students we’re all trying to gain as much experience as possible before we enter the world of work as simply put – a degree alone doesn’t cut it anymore.

I’ve now been working here for just over a month and have already learnt a lot about marketing, from copywriting to market research. Whilst I’ve been here the team have given me various projects to really stick my teeth into. They have given me responsibility over tasks to complete, which I’ve thoroughly enjoyed as in previous placements this hasn’t always been the case. A particular project I’m excited about is the re-design of the SM website, where I will oversee the stages of the site and discuss ideas with the design team.

As well as marketing, I’ve also learnt some interesting facts about the dental world – making me paranoid every time I brush my teeth, thinking to myself, am I doing this right?

The team here have been friendly and welcoming, I already feel like a permanent member, by joining in with the office banter (a common joke being me, the baby of the office, thinking everyone else was born ‘back in the day’) and enjoying the cakes everyone brings in.

My time at SM so far has been great and I’m sure will continue for the rest of the summer months!
