We are the robots!

We have been rather busy here lately – hence the rather sparse postings! In a rare moment of downtime however, Mr Knott has found time to create the following marvel of composite artwork:

Inspired by a fortuitous find at The Tate bookshop and a Photoshop tutorial in creating nebulae backgrounds (coupled with an enforced weekend at home due to suffering with a bad cold), we think the result is a marvel of both paper origami, photography and the application of modern technology.

For anyone interested in making a similar project, here is a link to the book – André stresses that he access to an A1 printer which made the final object a decent size! (the robot stands about 30cm in height):
